The Build It International Centre of Excellence proudly advances into Day 4 of its comprehensive life skills training program for students in carpentry and bricklaying. Hosted by the Livelihood Creators Hub, today’s sessions are utilizing experiential learning approaches grounded in adult learning principles to enhance soft skills essential for professional growth.
This morning’s focus was on fostering effective working relationships. Trainers emphasized that while technical skills in carpentry and bricklaying are crucial, they are not sufficient for long-term success. Building strong relationships within the workplace and across networks is vital for achieving excellence and accumulating valuable social capital.
Participants engaged in interactive activities designed to develop interpersonal skills, setting a foundation for better teamwork, collaboration, and professional development. The program continues to underscore the importance of integrating soft skills into technical trades, preparing students for holistic success in their careers.
