Build It International Centre of Excellence’s Livelihood Creators Hub successfully hosted the third day of its impactful life skills training program. The focus remains on empowering students pursuing carpentry and bricklaying with essential soft skills that complement their technical expertise.
Each trainer is guiding a dynamic class of over 20 students, fostering an engaging and participatory learning environment. Today’s sessions emphasized the importance of empathy, with activities designed to enhance communication skills, particularly active listening. The training also incorporated body language as a vital form of non-verbal communication, helping learners understand and interpret unspoken cues effectively.
A highlight of the day was the use of the Chinese whisper simulation, a practical activity that visually demonstrated the significance of clear and effective communication. As the training progresses, students are becoming increasingly enthusiastic and involved, recognizing the value of soft skills in their crafts.
This initiative underscores the commitment of Livelihood Creators Hub to integrating soft skills into technical training, ensuring well-rounded development for future artisans.
